Clark University’s Athletic Department seeks to fill the position of Assistant Basketball Coach. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will provide expertise and leadership for the administration of Clark University’s intercollegiate athletic program including recruiting, planning and execution of practices, film exchange and breakdown, scouting, fundraising, player development, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach must have leadership, role modeling, organizational, and interpersonal skills and an understanding of NCAA Division III regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Included in a range of responsibilities, the Assistant Basketball Coach will recruit a diverse group of students to a highly competitive academic institution, will assist in planning and implementing practices and is responsible for player development. In addition, the Assistant Coach will breakdown game films and handle all aspects of conference film exchange policy, will conduct clinics and events to increase visibility and funding of the department, as well as other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a valid driver’s license. CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are required and will be provided by Clark University. Playing and coaching experience is required, preferably at the collegiate level.
Preferred technical qualifications include experience with recruiting and film exchange software.
