The Department of Athletics at Lycoming College is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Responsibilities include all aspects of the College’s men’s basketball program, including but not limited to, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment, student-athlete development, budget management, fundraising, academic monitoring and other duties as assigned by the director of athletics.
Lycoming College's men’s basketball program has been a consistent contender in the Middle Atlantic Conference, winning conference titles in 2016 and 2017 and reaching as high as sixth in the D3hoops.com poll during the 2017-18 academic year. Lycoming offers 17 varsity programs in which more than 33 percent of the student body participates.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Minimum three years coaching experience necessary with a proven track record of recruiting successful college athletes. Successful candidate must be well organized; have excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with prospective student-athletes, student-athletes, staff and College personnel. Candidates must be attentive to details, have the ability to lead, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates must display a commitment for adhering to all Lycoming College, NCAA and MAC policies, rules and regulations. Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
