•Assist with practice planning, execution and on-court instruction •Help develop and implement game plans, reports, strategies and on-court duties as assigned •Assist in all phases of the recruiting process, specifically the scouting and evaluation of skilled and academically qualified student-athletes •Monitor academic progress and serve as a program liaison for staff and faculty •Serve as a role model for the student-athletes by exhibiting ethical and professional conduct at all times •Assist head coach with monitoring ARC policies and procedures applicable to the men’s basketball program •Special projects and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach •Perform other duties in support of the athletic department and the University’s Mission
•Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred •Two years coaching experience at the intercollegiate level required •Follow rules and guidelines of the university, the American Rivers Conference, the NCAA and the Mission of the University of Dubuque •Ability to effectively lead, supervise, and manage others •Good communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal •Ability to work collaboratively with others, and to be an effective team member •Ability to use a personal computer and other necessary computer programs •Ability to travel often and work nights and weekends
