Millikin University is seeking an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the women’s basketball program, particularly on-court coaching, practice and game plan preparation including film breakdown and opponent scouting. The Assistant Coach will also assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and the retention and success of current student-athletes, which is of the utmost importance and priority. The Assistant Coach will serve as the Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball Junior Varsity Program.
Primary Responsibilities:
1.Recruit prospective student-athletes 2.Serve as Junior Varsity Coach for Women’s Basketball 3.Assist with practice planning and game preparation 4.On-court coaching in practice and games as allowed by CCIW and NCAA regulations 5.Hand video responsibilities for women’s basketball including CCIW required video exchange, video breakdown of Millikin practices and games, and opponents’ scouting preparation
Other Duties:
1.Serve as Griswold Gym Monitor. 2.Serve as Athletic Facility Monitor. 3.Serve as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor for the Athletic Department as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in coaching preferred
Extensive knowledge of the sport of basketball
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, technology skills needed to perform listed responsibilities
Ability to recruit and retain quality women’s basketball student-athletes
Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to various audiences
Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team atmosphere in the Athletic Department
Strong commitment to the University and NCAA Division III philosophy
Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete
